0.385 is the probability under given conditions.

Lets simplify the above problem,

Given n=20, p=0.05, q=0.95

Probability that in a sample of 20 window frames:

None will need adjustments.

P(x=0)= 0.95^20 = 0.3585

At least one will need adjustment?

P(x>=1) = 1 - P(x=0)

= 1 - 0.3585

= 0.6415

More than two will need adjustment?

P(x>2) = 1 - P(x=0) -P(x=1) -P(x=2)

= 1 - 0.3585 - 20C1(0.05)^1*(0.95)^19 - 20C2(0.05)^2*(0.95)^18

= 0.6415 - 20*0.05*0.3774 - 190*0.0025*0.3972

= 0.2641-0.18868

= 0.0755

Hence 0.385 is the solution of the given problem.

Patricia baked some cupcakes for sale. she put half of the cupcakes equally into 6 big boxes and the other half equally into sma
mojhsa [17]

Answer:

The answer is given below

Step-by-step explanation:

a)

Let us assume Patricia baked x number of cakes. She put half of the cupcakes (i.e x/2) equally into 6 big boxes.

6 big boxes contained \frac{x}{2} cakes, therefore 1 big box would contain \frac{x}{2}/6=\frac{x}{12} cakes.

Let us assume she put the other half into 14 small boxes, therefore each small box would contain \frac{x}{2}/14=\frac{x}{28} cakes.

There were 45 cupcakes in 3 big boxes and 8 small boxes altogether. That is:3(\frac{x}{12} )+8(\frac{x}{28})=45\\ 84x+96x=15120\\180x=15120\\x=84

Therefore Patricia baked 84 cup cakes

b)

She sold all the small boxes and collected $189, i.e she sold 14 small box for $189. Each small box = $189/14 = $13.5

Jasmine has 3 and 3/8 pound of Turkey meat she is making 1/3 pound Turkey burgers does Jasmine have enough meat to make 12 Turke
3241004551 [841]

Answer:

No

Step-by-step explanation:

To answer this you have to divide 3 and 3/8 by 1/3.  The easiest way to do this without a calculator is to do this separately.  First divide 3 by 1/3.  When dividing fractions, the second number is flipped upside down and the two numbers are multiplied.  From 3 pounds, Jasmine will be able to make nine 1/3 pound burgers.

3 ÷ 1/3 = 3 × 3/1 = 9

Next, divide 3/8 by 1/3.  From 3/8 pounds, Jasmine will be able to make 1 1/8 burgers

3/8 ÷ 1/3 = 3/8 × 3/1 = 9/8 = 1 1/8

Add the two numbers together.

9 + 1 1/8 = 10 1/8

This is less than 12.
