No, If a dark-skinned person develops vitiligo, and therefore has lighter skin his or her race would not change.

Vitiligo is a situation wherein the pores and skin lose their pigment cells (melanocytes). This will result in discolored patches in one-of-a-kind regions of the frame, inclusive of the pores and skin, hair, and mucous membranes. Vitiligo (vit-ih-LIE-move) is an ailment that reasons a lack of pores and skin shade in patches.

Vitiligo is a result of the dearth of a pigment known as melanin inside the skin. Melanin is produced by way of pores and skin cells referred to as melanocytes, and it offers your pores and skin its color. In vitiligo, there aren't sufficient running melanocytes to provide enough melanin to your pores and skin. This causes white patches to increase on your skin or hair.

Vitiligo no longer poses a serious danger to one's health, but it could bring about bodily complications, including eye issues, listening to problems, and sunburn. Human beings with vitiligo also tend to be much more likely to have any other autoimmune disease (like thyroid issues and a few varieties of anemia).
