As the ionic compound increases in
Norma-Jean [14]

Given what we know, we can confirm that as an ionic compound grows more complex, its melting point will increase.

What is an Ionic compound?

 • An ionic compound is one in which atoms of elements share electrons between them to form compounds.
 • These shared electrons generate powerful electrostatic forces that we refer to as ionic bonds.
 • Electrostatic forces cause an increase in the melting point of a compound.
 • As a compound grows more complex and adds more elements to its composition, it will gain new electrostatic forces, and thus increase its melting point.

Therefore, as an ionic compound grows more complex, its melting point will increase due to the increasing number of strong electrostatic forces present in the compound.

Gravity Force (Fgrav) is _
STatiana [176]

Answer:

The force of gravity on earth is always equal to the weight of the object as found by the equation: Fgrav = m * g where g = 9.8 N/kg (on Earth) and m = mass (in kg) (Caution: do not confuse weight with mass.) The normal force is the support force exerted upon an object that is in contact with another stable object.

Why do polar and non polar molecules have different properties?
Margaret [11]
The greater the electronegativity difference, the more ionic the bond is. Bonds that are partly ionic are called polar covalent bonds. Nonpolar covalent bonds, with equal sharing of the bond electrons, arise when the electronegativities of the two atoms are equal.

A pure liquid has a constant boiling point, but a liquid with a constant boiling point is not necessarily pure. Explain.
Brums [2.3K]

A pure liquid has a constant boiling point (at constant pressure). A change in boiling during distillation is an indication of impurity. The opposite, proposition, however, is not always true, and a constant boiling point does not necessarily mean that the liquid is pure.

This is because, at the boiling point, vapor and liquid are in equilibrium, and, if the composition of the vapor and liquid remains constant through the process, the temperature will also remain constant.

The boiling point can differ by location depending on pressure. Why does not a pure liquid in a distilling flask vaporize all at once whilst the boiling temperature is reached? Additional heat must be supplied for a phase change to occur.
