The rate of change is also known as the slope. The formula to find the slope of a line is (y2 - y1) / (x2 - x1).

You can use any two points, as long as both are on the line.

Point 1 = (2, 55)

Point 2 = (8, 220)

slope = (220 - 55) / (8 - 2)

slope = 165 / 6

slope = 55 / 2 = 27.5 / 1

Lavaughn earns $27.50 for working one hour.

Hope this helps!

Find each sum or difference.<br> (W2 – 4w - 1)+(-5 + 5w2 – 3w)
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

5w -6

Step-by-step explanation:

(W2 – 4w - 1)+(-5 + 5w2 – 3w)

combine like terms in the 2 groups

(-2w-1)+(-5+5w(2) -3w)

(-2w-1)+(-5+10w-3w)

(-2w-1)+(-5+7w)

now add/subtract all

5w -6

avanturin [10]
3A = M
A + 8 = M - 6
3A = M

A + 8 = 3A - 6
A + 14 = 3A
14 = 2A
A = 7

M = 3A
M = 3 x 7
M = 21

So overall Aaron had 7 shells, and Maria had 21.
