Answer:

Yes, this is a valid inference because she took a random sample of the neighborhood.

Step-by-step explanation:

As we can see, Sue's survey was perfectly random and without any prejudice.

18% of the families, according to her research, would volunteer at the shelter. According to her, 18% of the local households should be required to volunteer at the animal shelter.

Therefore, given that she chose a representative sample of the area, her conclusion is valid.

Three different golfers played a different number of holes today. Rory played 9 holes and had a total of 42 strokes. Jordan play
stiv31 [10]
Okay so for each person we're pretty much gonna have to find the value of strokes over holes.
Rory: 42 strokes per 9 holes
Jordan: 79 strokes per 18 holes
Ricky: 123 strokes per 27 holes

Now, we can do the division for each person and round. But first, I'll say stokes per hole is s/h. Just feed each number into a calculator like this: per means divide.

Rory: 4.66667 s/h
Jordan: 4.38889 s/h
Ricky: 4.55556 s/h
Well, Jordan had the lowest number of strokes per hole since his value is the smallest.
