Choose the correct simplification of the expression ( expression in photo! )

Mathematics
1 answer:

Use the rules of exponents to simplify the expression.

\large\displaystyle\text{$\begin{gathered}\sf \frac{g^{5}h^{4}  }{g^{2}h^{3}  }  \end{gathered}$}

To divide powers with the same base, subtract the exponent in the denominator from the exponent in the numerator.

  • \large\displaystyle\text{$\begin{gathered}\sf g^{5-2}h^{4-3}   \end{gathered}$}

Subtract 2 from 5.

  • \large\displaystyle\text{$\begin{gathered}\sf g^{3 }h^{3-2}   \end{gathered}$}

Subtract 3 from 4.

  • \large\displaystyle\text{$\begin{gathered}\sf g^{3 }h^{1}   \end{gathered}$}

For any term t, t¹ =t.

  • \boxed{\large\displaystyle\text{$\begin{gathered}\sf g^{3}h \end{gathered}$} }

Therefore, the correct option is "B".

According to a study, 50,000 bachelor degrees in business were awarded in 1990 and 100,000 were awarded in 2000. If the number o
joja [24]

For every elapsed year (X), 5000 bachelor degrees in business will increase (Y).

<h3><u>Linear functions</u></h3>

To determine, if the number of bachelor degrees in business continues to grow linearly, what will be the growth parameter in said linear equation, the following calculation must be performed:

  • (100000 - 50000) / (2000 - 1990) = Y
  • 50000 / 10 = Y
  • 5000 = Y

Therefore, for every elapsed year (X), 5000 bachelor degrees in business will increase (Y).

a bowl contains 24 marbles consisting of 6 whilte, 8 blue 7 black and 3 red. WHat is the probaility of drawing a black marble?
Anit [1.1K]

Probability helps us to know the chances of an event occurring. The probability of choosing a black marble from the bowl is 0.2917.

<h3>What is Probability?</h3>

Probability helps us to know the chances of an event occurring.

Probability=(Desired Outcomes)/(Total Number of possible outcomes)

The total number of marbles in the bowl is 24, while it contains 6 white, 8 blue, 7 black and 3 red. Therefore, the probability of choosing a black marble from the bowl is,

P(Black marble) = Number of black marble/Number of total Marble

P(Black Marble) = 7/24 = 0.2917

Hence, the probability of choosing a black marble from the bowl is 0.2917.

An experiment was conducted to test the effect of a new cholesterol medicine. Fifteen people were treated with medicine X and 15
gtnhenbr [62]

Considering the hypothesis tested and the p-value of the test, the correct option is given by:

There is sufficient evidence that there is a difference in mean cholesterol level when using medicine X and medicine Y.

<h3>What are the hypothesis tested?</h3>

At the null hypothesis, it is tested if there is no difference between the cholesterol levels, that is:

H₀:Hₓ-H

At the alternative hypothesis it is tested if there is a difference, hence:

H₀:Hₓ-H≠0

The p-value is of 0.003 < 0.01, hence we reject the null hypothesis and conclude that there has was a difference, hence the correct option is given by:

There is sufficient evidence that there is a difference in mean cholesterol level when using medicine X and medicine Y.

It says in my homework sheet 'Rename each pair of fractions with common denominators'. But I seem to have problems with it. I do
Kaylis [27]
So basically it sounds like it wants you to make the denominators match.
Here's an example:

3/4 and 1/2
First you would find the Least Common Multiple (LCM), which of these two numbers is 4.
3/4 and 2/4 Then you would multiply the denominator the same amount you multiplied the denominator.

and voila! 3/4 and 2/4 have matching denominators
