Answer:

9x + 4

Step-by-step explanation:

9x + 2x - 6 - 2x + 10

Rearranging,

=> 9x + 2x - 2x + 10 - 6

=> 9x + 4

Answer: 9x+4

Step-by-step explanation: We take out the parentheses by multiplying both values by 2 (2 times x and 2 times 3) to get 2x-6. Now our equation is 9x+2x-6-2x+10. We can see that there is a +2x and a -2x so we just take both of them out as they cancel out each other. Now our equation is 9x -6+10. we add 10 to -6 to get +4. The result is 9x+4.

Latoya, Milan, and Hong served a total of 154 orders Monday at the school cafeteria. Latoya served 10 more orders than Milan, Ho
Tems11 [23]

Orders served by Latoya, Milan and Hong are 34, 24, 96 respectively.

Solution:

Given, Latoya, Milan, and Hong served a total of 154 orders Monday at the school cafeteria.

Let orders served by Latoya ne a, orders served by Milan be b and orders served by hong be c.

Then, a + b + c = 154 ⇒ (1)

Latoya served 10 more orders than Milan, ⇒ a = b + 10

Hong served 4 times as many orders as Milan. ⇒ c = 4b

We have to find how many orders did they each serve?

Now, substitute a and c values in (1)

(b + 10) + b + 4b = 154

b + b + 4b = 154 – 10

6b = 144

b = 24

Then, a = 24 + 10 = 34 and c = 4 x 24 = 96.

Hence, orders served by Latoya, Milan and Hong are 34, 24, 96 respectively.

The 3rd term of the geometrical sequence is larger than the 2nd
notsponge [240]

Answer:the first term is 81

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula for determining the nth term of a geometric sequence is expressed as

Tn = ar^(n - 1)

Where

Tn represents the nth term

n represents the number of terms

r represents the common ratio

The 3rd term of the geometrical sequence is larger than the 2nd

term by 36. This means that

T3 - T2 = 36 - - - - - - - - - - 1

The product of these two terms is -243. This means that

T2 × T3 = - 243

T2 = - 243/T3

Substituting T2 = - 243/T3 into equation 1, it becomes

T3 - (- 243/T3) = 36

T3 + 243/T3 = 36

T3^2 + 243 = 36T3

T3^2 - 36T3 + 243 = 0

T3^2 - 27T - 9T3 + 243 = 0

T3(T3 - 27) - 9(T3 - 27) = 0

T3 - 9 = 0 or T3 - 27 = 0

T3 = 9 or T3 = 27

Substituting T3 = 9 or T3 = 27 into

T2 = - 243/T3 = 27, it becomes

T2 = - 243/9 or - 243/27

T2 = - 27 or T2 = - 9

Therefore,

The 3rd term is 9

The 2nd term is - 27

The common ratio, r would be

T3/T2 = 9/-27 = - 1/3

The expression for the third term would be

9 = a × - 1/3^(3 - 1)

9 = a × (- 1/3)^2

9 = a × 1/9

a = 9 × 9 = 81
