When we divide x^{3} +6x^{2} +3x+1 by (x-2) we will get the quotient be x^{2} +8x+19 and remainder be 39.

Given two expressions be x^{3} +6x^{2} +3x+1 and (x-2).

We are required to divide the first expression by second expression.

Division means distributing parts of something. The number which is being divided is known as quotient.Divisor is a number which divides the number.

Expressions refers to the combination of numbers, fractions, coefficients, determinants, indeterminants. It expresses some relationship or show equation of line.

We know that  relationship between quotient, divisor, divident and remainder is as under:

Dividend=Divisor*Quotient+Remainder

x^{3} +6x^{2} +3x+1=(x-2)*(x^{2} +8x+19)+39

Quotient=x^{2} +8x+19

Remainder=39

Hence when we divide x^{3} +6x^{2} +3x+1 by (x-2) we will get the quotient be x^{2} +8x+19 and remainder be 39.

If f(x) = 2x2 + 3x and g(x) = x – 2, what is (f + g)(2)?
goblinko [34]
For this case we have the following functions:
 f(x) = 2x^2 + 3x

g(x) = x - 2
 The first thing we must do is calculate the sum of functions or equivalently:
 (f + g)(x) = f(x) + g(x)

 We have then:
 (f + g)(x) = (2x^2 + 3x) + (x - 2)

 To complete the sum, we must add the terms whose exponents are equal.
 We have then:
 (f + g)(x) = 2x^2 + (3x + x) - 2

(f + g)(x) = 2x^2 + 4x - 2
 Then, we evaluate the function for x = 2:
 (f + g)(2) = 2(2)^2 + 4(2) - 2

 Rewriting we have:
 (f + g)(2) = 2(4) + 4(2) - 2

(f + g)(2) = 8 + 8 - 2

(f + g)(2) = 14
 Answer:

(f + g)(2) = 14
