Calculus AB
wariber [46]
Assuming you mean
\lim_{x \to 4} \frac{\sqrt{x+5}-3}{4-x}

that means as x approaches 4

if we sub 0 for x we get
0/0
and intermitent form
use l'hopital's rule

so
take the derivitive of the top and bottom seperatly
l'hopitals rule is something like
if \lim_{x \to n} \frac{f(x)}{g(x)} results in 0/0 or -∞/∞ or∞/∞ then keep doing it until f(n)/g(n) gives a form that isn't intermitent

so

take derivitive of top and bottom
\dfrac{\frac{1}{2\sqrt{x+5}}}{-1}
now, if we subsitute 4 for x we get
\dfrac{\frac{1}{2\sqrt{4+5}}}{-1}=

\dfrac{\frac{1}{2\sqrt{9}}}{-1}=

\dfrac{\frac{1}{2(3)}}{-1}=

\dfrac{\frac{1}{6}}{-1}=

\dfrac{1}{-6}=\dfrac{-1}{6}

Please help ! :0 <br><br> -17 = 2y/3 + 3y/4
VashaNatasha [74]
Hi,

Equation;

- 17 =  \frac{2y}{3}  +  \frac{3y}{4}

Solving:

- 17 =  \frac{2y}{3}  +  \frac{3y}{4}    \:  \:  \:  |  \div 12 \\  - 204 = 8y + 9y \\  - 204 = 17y \\ 17y =  - 204  \:  \:  \:  |  \div 17 \\  \\ y =  - 12 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: (result)

Hope this helps.

Find the circulation of Bold Upper F equals 5 x Bold i plus 7 z Bold j plus 6 y Bold k around the closed path consisting of the
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

The circulation of the given vector is (5/2)x² + 7yz + 6yz + C

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that F = 5xi + 7zj + 6yk

The circulation of F is given as

Integral of F.dr

dr = idx + jdy + kdz

F.dr = (5xi + 7zj + 6yk).(idx + jdy + kdz)

= 5xdx + 7zdy + 6ydz

Integral of F.dr = Integral of (5xdx + 7zdy + 6ydz)

= (5/2)x² + 7yz + 6yz + C
