The oldest archeological finding in Oklahoma was carried out at the McLemore Site. This site is known to house structure, and a cemetery with 48 burial sites.

Other artifacts which were found at this site pottery vessel fragments, a clay human effigy vessel, and stone tools and tool-making debitage.
