You want to create a piece of pottery at an art studio. The total cost is the cost of the piece plus an hourly studio fee. The c

osts at two studios are shown.
The cost in studio A is, Vase: 10 dollars and 49 cents; Studio fee: 8 dollars per hour. Cost in studio B is, Vase: 14 dollars and 99 cents; Studio fee: 6 dollars and 50 cents per hour.

for 3 hours, both studios charge the same amount.

<h3>After how many hours are the total costs the same at both studios?</h3>

The cost equation for studio A is:

A(x) = 10.49 + 8*x

The cost equation for studio B is:

A(x) = 14.99 + 6.5*x

The cost will be the same when A(x) = B(x), then we just need to solve the linear equation:

10.49 + 8*x = 14.99 + 6.5*x

8x - 6.5x = 14.99 - 10.49

x = (14.99 - 10.49)/(8 - 6.5) = 3

This means that for 3 hours, both studios charge the same amount.

Find a polynomial function f(x) of degree 3 with real coefficients that satisfies the following conditions.
frosja888 [35]

Answer:

The polynomial will be f(x) = \frac{4}{9}x(x - 2)^{2}.

Step-by-step explanation:

The three degree polynomial function f(x) has zeros at x = 0 and at x = 4 having multiplicity 2.

Therefore, (x - 0) and (x - 4)² will be factors of the polynomial f(x).

Hence, the polynomial will be f(x) = Ax(x - 4)² .............. (1), where A is any constant that we have to evaluate.

Now, given that f(5) = 20

So, from the equation (1) we have

20 = A(5)(5 - 2)²

⇒ A = \frac{4}{9}

Therefore, the polynomial will be f(x) = \frac{4}{9}x(x - 2)^{2} (Answer)

A=6 cm,b=9cm,and c =3 cm
Crazy boy [7]
The lengths of sides a and c add to 9 cm, the length of side b.
In a triangle, the the sum of the lengths of any two sides must be greater than the the length of the third side. These dimensions do not make a triangle.

Is this really what you meant? Why did you use capital A for a side? Or is A an angle, and it measures 6 deg, not 6 cm?
