Hello there! The Mayflower Compact influenced our modern government by setting the foundation of self government with rules to abide by. Pilgrims precedented this by traveling on the Mayflower to settle on an unknown land with Puritans. They could not decide whether to abide by Puritan rules and standards or make their own rules.
