A major league baseball stadium sells three types of tickets. Reserved tickets are sold for $20 each, field-level tickets are so

ld for $50 each, and box seat tickets are sold $100 each. You purchase 10 total tickets for $370. You have twice as many reserved tickets as field-level tickets. How many tickets of each do you have?

There were six reserved tickets, three tickets for the field level, and one ticket for the box seat.

<h3>How many tickets for each do you have?</h3>

Let's say that x stands for the number of tickets that have been reserved, y stands for the number of tickets at the field level, and z stands for the number of tickets in the box seats.

Taking into consideration that a total of 10 tickets cost $370, the following equation may be used to express this data:

20x + 50y + 100z = 370........ (1)

x + y + z = 10 (2)

In addition, there were two times as many tickets for reserved seating as there were for field-level seating. The following equation may be used to express this:

x = 2y

x - 2y = 0...... (3)

The result of concurrently solving equations 1, 2, and 3 is that

x equals 6, y equals 3, and z equals 1

There were six reserved tickets, three tickets for the field level, and one ticket for the box seat.

X/5 -8=4 find the value of x
elena-s [515]

Answer:

x=60

Step-by-step explanation:

I'm assuming you meant this: (x/5)-8=4

In which case you would add 8 to both sides to get rid of the 8 on the left (your goal is to get x by itself so you want to move the numbers on the x side to the other side of the equal sign)

(x/5)=12

Then you would multiply 5 on both sides to get rid of the fraction with the 5 on the bottom on the left side.

x=60

There's your answer.

How many solutions does this equation have?
kozerog [31]

Hello from MrBillDoesMath!

Answer: infinite solutions

Discussion: I did a double take on this one but  the left hand is

a + 3 + 2a =  3a +3

and the right hand side is

-1 + 3a + 4 = 3a + (4-1) = 3a + 3

The left and right sides of the equation are identical for all "a", i.e. for infinitely many "a" values.

Parallel to y=4x+2,y intercept at 4
seraphim [82]

Answer:

<h2>y = 4x + 4</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope-intercept form:

y=mx+b

m - slope

b - y-intercept

Parallel lines have the same slope.

We have y = 4x + 2 → m = 4.

The slope of parallel line is m = 4 and the y-intercept b = 4.

Therefore we have the equation of a line:

y=4x+4

Answer:

The test statistic is t = 2.79

Step-by-step explanation:

From the question we are told that

    The population mean is \mu   = 59.3

    The sample size is  n  =  79

    The  sample mean is  \= x  = 62.4

    The  standard deviation is  \sigma  =  9.86

Generally the test statistics is mathematically represented as

            t =  \frac{\= x - \mu }{ \frac{ \sigma}{ \sqrt{n} } }

substituting values

          t =  \frac{ 62.2 -  59.3 }{ \frac{  9.86}{ \sqrt{ 79} } }

          t = 2.79
