3. Many people enjoy rap music at least in part because of its edgy, troublemaking vibe. The problem is that some of this music

could cause real trouble. Thus, Ice-T’s song “Cop Killer” generated significant controversy when it was released. Among other things, its lyrics celebrated the idea of slitting a policeman’s throat. Rick Ross rapped about drugging and raping a woman. Time Warner Inc. did not withdraw Ice-T’s song but Reebok fired Ross over his lyrics. One difference: Time Warner was struggling with a $15 billion debt and a depressed stock price. Reebok at first refused to take action but then singing group UltraViolet began circulating an online petition against the song and staged a protest at the main Reebok store in New York. The obligation that the media companies had to their consumers would be to ensure that they did not allow contents that are bad for the ethical values and moral values of the consumers.

<h3>What is ethics?</h3>

This is the term that is used to refer to the morals and the principles that people have which have to be upheld in the society and at organizations at large.

The lyrics about slitting the throat of a cop is one that is very bad for the image of policemen. It could make them face aggression especially from the fans of these musicians.

The factors that have to matter would be the if the content of the entertainment are people friendly, it they are ethical in nature and not part of what may lead to moral decadence in the society.

Debora [2.8K]
The baby boomers could change the fashion industry as they transition to senior citizens because they could motivate designers to create products that meet their needs. For example, they might motivate shoe designers to design shoes that are similar to those worn by the younger generation but perhaps with more comfort and lower heels. Therefore, they will maintain their sense of fashion, but in a rather different manner.

The following table shows a portion of a three-year amortization schedule. A 3-year amortization schedule. The loan amount or pr
larisa [96]

The correct statement is that at the end of two years a total interest of 1246.10 has been paid  on a principal of $11940, where the interest rate is 7.45 percent. So, the correct option is B.

The calculation on monthly payment of interest can be done by ascertainment of the interest paid for two years and division of such amount by total number of months.

<h3>Calculation of Monthly Payment</h3>

We know that the interest to be paid for the first year will be close to $902 and that for the second year will be calculated as follows,

\rm Interest for\ Second\ Year= Monthly\ Payment\ x\ 12\\\\\rm Interest for\ Second\ Year= 28.69\ x\ 12\\\\\rm Interest for\ Second\ Year= \$344.28

So, the total interest paid at the end of the second year will be,

\rm Total\ Interest\ for\ Two\ Years= Interest\ for\ One\ Year+ Interest\ for\ Second\ Year\\\\\rm Total\ Interest\ for\ Two\ Years= 902+344.10\\\\\rm Total\ Interest\ for\ Two\ Years= \$1246.10

So, the total interest paid fully at the end of two years will be $1246.10

Hence, the correct option is B that the  total interest of 1246.10 has been paid  on a principal of $11940 at the end of two years upon monthly payments of such years.

The current price of the Volkswagen ADR (VWAGY) is 35.50. You purchase 50 shares on margin. You finance half of the purchase you
Zinaida [17]

Answer:

33.77%

Explanation:

In one year, you are going to receive ($42 x 100) + ($0.56 x 100) = $4,256

you must return ($35.50 x 50) = $1,775

plus interests = $1,775 x 6% = $106.50

total return = $4,256 - $1,775 - $106.50 = $2,374.50

you invested $1,775

return on your investment = ($2,374.50 / $1,775) - 1 = 33.77%
