Find the angle between the lines 2x-3y+5=0 and 2x-3y-7=0

There will be no angle between the lines as the lines are parallel.

We are given the two lines:

2 x - 3 y + 5 = 0 and 2 x - 3 y - 7 = 0

Slope of the line  2 x - 3 y + 5 = 0:

-a₁/b₁ = -2/-3 = 2/3

Slope of the line 2 x - 3 y - 7 = 0

-a₂/b₂ = -2 / -3 = 2/3

Since both the lines have same slopes, they are parallel lines and will not intersect each other.

So, there will be no angle between the lines.

what is -8x-9=-21, can someone work out the problem and show me what they did to get there answer so i can understand it?
SashulF [63]

- 8x - 9 = - 21

Add 9 to both sides:

- 8x = - 12

Divide both sides by - 8:

x = -12/-8

x = -3/-2

x = 3/2 OR 1.5

Hope this answer helps :)

Answer:

see explanation

Step-by-step explanation:

Under a translation < 5, - 9 >

5 is added to the original x- coordinate and 9 is subtracted from the original y- coordinate, that is

A(1, 4 ) → A'(1 + 5, 4 - 9 ) → A'(6, - 5 )

B(2, - 2 ) → B'(2 + 5, - 2 - 9 ) → B'(7, - 11 )

C(- 3, 2 ) → C'(- 3 + 5, 2 - 9 ) → C'(2, - 7 )
