Silk and wool are more easily dyed with azo dyes than other fabrics like nylon or cotton because they are polypeptides.

Polypeptides or polymers made of amino acids are what makeup wool and silk. Natural protein fibers like wool and silk, synthetic polyamide fibers like nylon, and, to a lesser extent, acrylic fibers and blends of these fibers, are typically dyed with acid dyes. They are applied to these fibers from a dyebath under acidic or neutral conditions, thus their name. The azo group is the most widely used chromophore in acid dyes. When an ionic bond is formed between the protonated amine group of the fiber and the acid group of the dye, acid dyes that are anionic and soluble in water are applied to wool, silk, and nylon

Kruka [31]

Answer:

There are 22 hydrogen in 2,3,3,5-tetramethylhexane (C10H22)

From the left to the right of the skeletal structure:

1st Main Carbon = 3 hydrogen

2nd Main Carbon = 1 hydrogen

1st Branch Carbon = 3 hydrogen

3rd Main Carbon = 2 hydrogen

2nd Branch Carbon = 3 hydrogen

3rd Branch Carbon = 3 hydrogen

4th Main Carbon = 0 hydrogen

4th Branch Carbon = 3 hydrogen

5th Main Carbon = 1 hydrogen

6th Main Carbon = 3 hydrogen

Total = 22 hydrogen

Explanation:

This is the skeletal formula for 2,3,3,5-tetramethylhexane - the 2D chemical structure. It is an organic compound. The carbon atoms in the structure are known as the carbon backbone. The hydrogen atoms are linked to the carbon backbone. This provides each carbon atom with four bonds.

An aqueous solution of acetic acid is found to have the following equilibrium concentrations at 25 C:
yarga [219]

Answer: 1.79 x 10^-5

Explanation: The equilibrium constant of a reaction can be calculated from the quotient of the concentrations of the products over the concentrations of the reactants, with each termed raised to their respective stoichometric coefficients.

For acetic acid, this equilibrium expression is:

Kc=\frac{[H+] [CH3COO-]}{[CH3COOH]}

Replacing the equilibrium concentrations given by the exercise into the expression above, the equilibrium constant, Kc will be obtained and it is found to be equal to 1.79 x 10^-5.

if an exothermic reaction takes place in an insulated container at the end of the reaction the temperature of the content of the
ch4aika [34]

Answer:

Remain the same.

Explanation:

The reaction of the temperature of the content of the container will remain the same because no heat energy is transfer from the container to the external environment due to insulating material of the container. Insulators are poor conductor of heat and electricity so the container is unable to absorb the heat energy produced during a chemical reaction and all energy of the product remain the same.

mrs_skeptik [129]

1.the chemical change color from colorless to purple

2. A yellow gas forms

3.a brown solid forms in the bottom of the beaker

4.the temperature of the chemicals rises 15 Celsius

Explanation:

All of the options are proofs that chemical change has occurred.

A chemical change is one with the following properties:

  • A new kind of matter is usually formed as seen by the gas evolution and the formation of the insoluble precipitate i.e brown solid at the bottom of the beaker.
  • They are not easily reversible.
  • Usually accompanied by energy changes as seen in the rise in temperature.
  • Color changes can also infer chemical changes in a reaction.
