We Know That,

speed \:  = \frac{distance}{time}

Hence,

time \:  =  \frac{distance}{speed}

According to given,

speed = 783 km/h

distance = 8352 km

Therefore,

time \:  =  \frac{8352}{783}

time = 10.6

time = 10hr 40mins

Now,

Also given that-

plane leaves at 9hr 52mins local time

hence,

time = 10hr 40mins + 9hr 52mins

time = 20hr 32mins

But,

plane is 2hrs behind

Therefore,

time = 20hr 32mins - 2hrs

time = 18hrs 32mins

What is speed?

Speed is defined as :

The rate of change of position of an object in any direction.

Speed is measured as the ratio of distance to the time in which the distance was covered. Speed is a scalar quantity as it has only direction and no magnitude.

Speed Formula

The formula of speed is given in the table below:

s = d/t

where,

  • s is the speed in m.s^(-1)
  • d is the distance traveled in m

this is the time taken in s
