Jackson and Tocqueville shared values related to populism and individualism.

What values were adopted only by Tocqueville?

 • Egalitarianism.
 • Freedom.
 • Laissez-faire.

As can be seen above, Tocqueville was an advocate of egalitarianism and liberty. This means that he believed that in a society everyone should have the right to freedom and should be seen as equal and worthy of the same right. In this case, we can consider that he would not support slavery in American countries, as he violated the two values he defended all his life.

Tocqueville would believe that slavery was a cruel system that devalued people and caused damage to freedom and social well-being.

Why did Young consider the capitaineries to be a particularly “dreadful scourge” on the peasants?
ss7ja [257]

The Correct Answer Is:

The Capitaineries were a dreadful scourge on all the occupiers of land. By this term is to be understood the paramountship of certain districts, granted by the king to princes of the blood, by which they were put in possession of the property of all game, even on lands not belonging to them.

Why did many politicians in the United States oppose the Louisiana Purchase?
stira [4]

As seems to happen so often in politics, the Federalists opposed the Louisiana Purchase not on principled grounds but because they thought it would hurt them politically. They claimed to oppose the Purchase because it was unconstitutional.
