What is the molar concentration of a 2 liter solution containing 200 grams of glucose?

Chemistry

The molar concentration is 1.11M.

What is molar concentration?

The phrase "molar concentration" (also known as "molarity," "amount concentration," or "substance concentration") refers to the amount of a substance per unit volume of solution and is used to describe the concentration of a chemical species, specifically a solute, in a solution. The most frequent measure of molarity in chemistry is the number of moles per liter, denoted by the unit symbol mol/L or mol/dm3 in SI units. A solution with a concentration of 1 mol/L is referred to as 1 molar, or 1 M.

Given :

Volume of the solution = 2L

Mass of glucose given = 200g

Concentration of glucose= ?

Formula use:

Molarity = no. of moles of solute / volume of the solution (L)

Moles of solute = given mass of solute / molar mass of the solute

Solution:

No. of moles of solute( glucose ) = 200 / 180 = 1.11 moles'

Molarity = 1.11 / 2 = 0.5555 mol L ^(-1)

Therefore, the molar concentration of glucose in the solution = 0.555 mol L ^(-1)

Why can't chemical changes be undone? Because of the chemical properties. Because Mark is an idiot. Because they need energy. Be
Volgvan

Answer: Because new substances are formed.

Explanation: A chemical property is any of a material's properties that becomes evident during, or after, a chemical reaction; that is, any quality that can be established only by changing a substance's chemical identity. Once a chemical change occurs it cannot be undone due to the change in chemical identity. The creation of a new substance is not reversible.

Both 1,2−dihydronaphthalene and 1,4−dihydronaphthalene may be selectively hydrogenated to 1,2,3,4−tetrahydronaphthalene. One of
pochemuha

Answer:

1,4-dihydro = 113 kJ·mol⁻¹

1,2-dihydro = 101 kJ·mol⁻¹

Explanation:

In 1,4-dihydronaphthalene, the 2,3-double bond is isolated from the benzene ring.

In 1,2-dihydronaphthalene, the 3,4-double bond is conjugated with the benzene ring.

Thus, 1,2-dihydronaphthalene is partially stabilized by resonance interactions between the ring and the double bond (think, styrene).

1,2-Dihydronaphthalene is at a lower energy level because of this stabilization.

The heat of hydrogenation of 1,2-dihydronaphthalene is therefore less than that of the 1,4-isomer when each is hydrogenated to the common product, 1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene.

If it takes 38.70cm of 1.90M NaOH to neutralize 10.30cm of H2SO4 in a battery, what is the molarity of H2SO4?
slamgirl [31]

Answer:

The molarity of the acid, H₂SO₄ is 3.57 M

Explanation:

We'll begin by writing the balanced equation for the reaction. This is illustrated below:

H₂SO₄ + 2NaOH —> Na₂SO₄ + 2H₂O

From the balanced equation above,

Mole ratio of the acid, H₂SO₄ (nₐ) = 1

Mole ratio of the base, NaOH (n₆) = 2

Finally, we shall determine the molarity of the acid, H₂SO₄. This can be obtained as follow:

Volume of base, NaOH (V₆) = 38.70 cm³

Molarity of base, NaOH (M₆) = 1.90M

Volume of acid, H₂SO₄ (Vₐ) = 10.30 cm³

Molarity of acid, H₂SO₄ (Mₐ) =?

MₐVₐ / M₆V₆ = nₐ/n₆

Mₐ × 10.3 / 1.9 × 38.70 = 1/2

Mₐ × 10.3 / 73.53 = 1/2

Cross multiply

Mₐ × 10.3 × 2 = 73.53 × 1

Mₐ × 20.6 = 73.53

Divide both side by 20.6

Mₐ = 73.53 / 20.6

Mₐ = 3.57 M

Thus, the molarity of the acid, H₂SO₄ is 3.57 M
