The human microbiome is the microorganisms located in the body that have a symbiotic relationship with their host.

<h3>What is the human microbiome?</h3>

The microbiome is the set or community of microorganisms that occupy a specific habitat, in this case it is the human body, in which it occupies a function within this environment.

The microbiota within the body will have various functions such as <em>endocrine, neurological signaling, maturation of the immune system, among others</em>. What makes it important since it will fulfill a function almost as if it were an organ which regulates and helps different mechanisms within the body.

The human being will have <em>hundreds of millions of microbes</em> in the intestine

The diet that we have is an important factor to be able to maintain a favorable environment for our microbiota, also for its composition since from here they will enter and be transported through the bloodstream.

Therefore, we can confirm that the human microbiome is the microorganisms located in the body that have a symbiotic relationship with their host.

prisoha [69]
The statements that are true are the following:
1. The levels of microsomal enzymes are decreased.
Microsomal enzymes are functional parts of the human liver, which participate actively in the drug metabolism. It has been shown that the activity of these enzymes is lower in children, reaching its full activity in adult individuals.
2. First pass elimination is reduced because of the immaturity of the liver.
First pass elimination is a phenomenon of drug metabolism, that occurs in the liver or the gut and involves the reduction of the drug concentration before it reaches the systemic circulation. In neonates, the liver is immature and undergoes several changes during the postnatal period.
3. Gastric emptying is slowed because of slow or irregular peristalsis.
Peristalsis is a term referring to the movement of food to several positions of the digestive tract, through muscle contractions. Gastric emptying is strongly affected by peristalsis. Some children have irregular peristaltic movement.
