If the image of the point (-1,7) under a translation be (0,11) then the coordinates of the image of the point (1,-4) under the same translation is (2,0).

Given that the image of the point (-1, 7) under a translation is (0, 11).

We are required to find the coordinates of the image of the point (1, -4) under the same translation.

Translation basically means the displacement of a figure or a shape from one place to another. In translation figure can move upward, downward, right, left or anywhere in the coordinate system.

The point (-1,7) after translation changes into (0,11).

X coordinate will change by adding 1 to it and Y coordinate will change by adding 4. Now the point (1,-4) will change to (2,0) after adding 1 to 1 and 4 to -4.

Hence if the image of the point (-1,7) under a translation be (0,11) then the coordinates of the image of the point (1,-4) under the same translation is (2,0).

Somebody please help! Marked Brainliest!

Answer:

Part A:

The surface area of a cylinder is given by

A=  6πr² if h= 2r

Part B:

Total Cost of covering the cylinder = Rate *2πrh + rate*2πr²

Cost of covering only the side = Rate *2πrh

Step-by-step explanation:

Part A:

The surface area of a cylinder is given by

A= 2πrh + 2πr²

Where h= height and radius = r

But we have the height twice as radius so h= 2r

So putting h= 2r we get

A= 2πr(2r) + 2πr²

A= 4πr² + 2πr²= 2πr²(2+1) = 2πr²(3)= 6πr²

Part B:

Cost = Rate * area of the wall + rate * area of the top and bottom

Cost = Rate *2πrh + rate*2πr²

Where area of the top and bottom= πr² +πr² =2 πr²

and area of the side = 2πrh

Multiplying both with the rate and then adding would give the total cost of materials needed to cover the outside of the cylinder and from top and bottom as well.

If  you do not need to cover top and bottom then the expression would be

Cost of covering only the side = Rate *2πrh

Part C:

Already done above.

Which number line can be used to find the distance between (-1, 2) and (-5, 2)
wariber [46]

Answer:

y = 2; distance is 4 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Line y = 2

Because the y- coordinate is the same, only horizontal movement from -1 to -5..

Which graph best represents the feasibility region for the system shown above? ( pics are in this)
zalisa [80]

Consider the system of inequalities

\left\{ \begin{array}{l}  y\ge 2 \\  x\le 6 \\  y\le 3x+2 \\  y\le -x+10. \end{array}\right.

1. Plot all lines that are determined by equalities (see attached diagram)

\left\{ \begin{array}{l}  y=2 \text{ (red line)} \\  x= 6  \text{ (blue line)}\\  y=3x+2 \text{ (green line)} \\  y= -x+10  \text{ (orange line)}. \end{array}\right.

2. Determine which bounded part of the plane you should select:

  1. y\ge 2 means that you should take points with y-coordinates greater than or equal to 2 (top part of the coordinate plane that was formed by the red line);
  2. x\le 6 means that you should take points with x-coordinates less than or equal to 6 (left part of the coordinate plane that was formed by the blue line);
  3. for y\le 3x+2 you can check where the origin is placed. Since 0\le 3\cdot 0+2, the origin belongs to the needed part and you have to take the right part of the coordinate plane that was formed by green line.
  4. for y\le -x+10 you can check where the origin is placed. Since 0\le -1\cdot 0+10, the origin belongs to the needed part and you have to take the bottom part of the coordinate plane that was formed by orange line.

3. According to the previous explanations, the shaded region is as in A diagram.

Answer: correct choice is A.
