The total solution will include 17.5 cup of vinegar 0.5 cups of rubbing alcohol, and 2 cup of water which is a total of 35 cups of solution. Sofie will need 6 total containers to hold all of the solution.

Number of container

1 cup of rubbing alcohol:

1 cup of rubbing alcohol=1÷1/2

1 cup of rubbing alcohol=2

Cup of alcohol needed:

Cup of alcohol needed=1+1/2+16

Cup of alcohol needed=17.5 cups

Total cups:

Total cups=17.5×2

Total cups=35 cups

Number of container:

Number of container=1+35/5

Number of container=1+5

Number of container=6 containers

Therefore the total solution will include 17.5 cup of vinegar 0.5 cups of rubbing alcohol, and 2 cup of water which is a total of 35 cups of solution. Sofie will need 6 total containers to hold all of the solution.

Solve (x + 3)2 – 5 = 0 using the quadratic formula.
Harlamova29_29 [7]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(x+3)² -5 =0 , use the formula (a+b) ² = a²+b²+2ab

x²+9 +6x -5 =0 , combine like terms

x²+6x +4 =0, use the quadratic formula x = (-b±√b²-4ac)/2a

x= (-6 ±√6²-4*1*4)/2*1

x= (-6 ± √36-16) /2

x= (-6±√20)/2

x=(-6 +2√5)/2 and x=( -6-2√5) /2, factor 2 in the numerator and simplify

x= -3 +√5 and x= -3 -√5

The slope of the line is 0. It passes through the point (-3,4). Identify two other points on the line. Justify you answer
BARSIC [14]

Answer:

Two other points: (2, 4) (6, 4)

Step-by-step explanation:

A line with a slope = 0 is a horizontal line [with a y-intercept of (0, b)], given by the linear equation, y = 4. This means that the y-coordinate will always equal to 4, regardless of its corresponding x-coordinate. Basically, we could choose any x-coordinate to pair with the y-coordinate of 4.

I chose the ordered pairs, (2, 4) and (6, 4).

Attached is a screenshot of the graphed linear equation, y = 4.
