The length is 1.36 feet and the breadth is  17.647 feet of the plate, if friction drag is 0.3 lbf.

T = 20°C = 293 K

P = 1 atm = 101.325kP

P = ρRT

ρ = 1.205 kg/m³

Total drag = C∝ * (1/2 .ρ . A . V²)

0.3 lbf = C∝ * 1/2 * 1.205 * 4.645 * (15.24)²

    C∝ = 2.05338 * 10 ⁻³

Now,

          C∝ = 1.328 / √Re

        2.05338 * 10 ⁻³ = 1.328 / √Re

∴ Re = 418267.61

∴  ρ. v. l/μ = 418267.61

1.205 * 15.24 *L/18.207 * 10⁻⁶ =  418267.61

    Length  = 0.4147 m = 1.36 foot

L * B = 24 ft²

1.36 * B = 24

∴ breadth = 17.647

Hence, Length is 1.36 feet and the breadth is  17.647 foot.

a person runs 21.0 km west then turns around and runs 10.0 km east. The persons distance is 31.0 km true or false
erik [133]

Answer:

true.

Explanation:

The total path covered by an object during its entire journey is called the distance covered. It is equal to the sum of all path traveled.

A person runs 21.0 km west then turns around and runs 10.0 km east. The total distance covered will be the sum of 21 km and 10 km.

d = 21 km + 10 km

d = 31 km

Hence, the given statement is true.

the density of oxygen 1.43 gm/liter at 0°c and pressure 1.0 atm. if a 20 liter cylinder is filled with oxygen at pressure of 25
lbvjy [14]

Answer:

640 g

Explanation:

Step 1: Given and required data

  • Volume of the cylinder (V): 20 L
  • Pressure of the oxygen (P): 25 atm
  • Temperature (T): 27 °C (300 K)
  • Ideal gas constant (R): 0.082 atm.L/mol.K

Step 2: Calculate the moles of oxygen gas

We will use the ideal gas equation

P × V = n × R × T

n = P × V / R × T

n = 25 atm × 20 L / (0.082 atm.L/mol.K) × 300 K = 20 mol

Step 3: Calculate the mass corresponding to 20 moles of oxygen

The molar mass of oxygen is 32.00 g/mol.

20 mol × 32.00 g/mol = 640 g

Calculate the energy transferred in joules when 29.5g of liquid water decreases from 14c to 0.0c
Jobisdone [24]
The  energy transferred  in joules  is   calculated  using the below  formula

Q(heat energy) =  M(mass)  x C (specific  heat capacity )  x  delta T(change  in  temperature
delta T =  0. 0c-  14 c  =  -14 c
M= 29.5 g
C of  water is always =  4.18  j/g/c

= 29.5 g x  -14 c x 4.18 j/g/c =-1726.34  joules are  needed when  29.5 g  of  liquid  water  decrease  from  14 c  to  0.0  C
