background than you. You may choose a scientist whose work is outside of biology! Earth science, chemistry, physics, medicine, etc. is all acceptable for this assignment.
You will need a minimum of three reputable (good) sources. Each source that you use must be cited properly! The library will be providing information on what a good source is and how to properly cite them. They will also have some books and websites available to you for this assignment.
You will be required to do a 1 page paper on your scientist.
• Two paragraphs about your scientist
• The first paragraph will cover their background- when they were born, where they are from, etc.
• The second paragraph will be about their field and the science research that they did.
One paragraph about why you chose your scientist
• Include information about what interested you in the scientist and what you learned
You must also use in-text citations.

Who is Albert Einstein?

The physicist Albert Einstein was born in Ulm Württemberg Germany in 1875. He migrated to the United States at the height of the Nazi regime in Germany where he became a professor of physics at Princeton University.

His work focused on the relativity theory and the as it could be applied to gravity, quantum mechanics and the theory of light. These ideas still remain fundamental in science today.

I became interested in the work of Albert Einstein because of the fact that is work is fundamental to the understanding of quantum mechanics and the idea of gravity. He laid the foundation upon which modern physics is built.

What is the pH of a solution with a 1.50x10-9 M hydroxide ion concentration?
dimaraw [331]

Answer: 5.18

Explanation:

Mathematically, pOH is expressed as

pH = -log(OH-)

where OH-is the concentration of hydroxide ion

So, pOH calculations are as follows

pOH = -log(1.50x10-9 M)

pOH = -(-8.82)

pOH = 8.82 [the two minus signs cancelled out]

Since pOH = 8.82; apply the formula

pH + pOH = 14 to get pH of the solution

Hence, pH + pOH = 14

pH + 8.82 = 14

pH = 14 - 8.82

pH = 5.18

Thus, the pH of a solution with a 1.50x10-9 M hydroxide ion concentration is 5.18 (slightly acidic)

Does technology always follow science? Explain.
nalin [4]
Always is a pretty absolute word and since nothing is impossible I would say no. However, usually for the most part technology does follow science.
If you want to develop a technology, you need to understand the physical principals behind it such as dynamics,material behavior, etc. this all requires knowledge physics and chemistry.
