Here is the full question:

When a species has several variants of a phenotype passed on from generation to generation, we can form a hypothesis about the genetics of the trait based on Mendelian theories of genetic inheritance. For example, in a two-gene dominant epistatic model, the first gene masks the effect of the second gene, leading to the expression of three phenotype variants. Crossing the dominant and recessive homozygote lines would result in a second generation represented by a mix of dominant, intermediate, and recessive phenotype variants in the expected proportions: and respectively, also called a 12:3: 1 ratio.

Such a model can provide the basis for the null hypothesis in a significance test. A cross of white and green summer squash plants gives the number of squash in the second generation F2: 131 white squash, 34 yellow squash, and 10 green squash. Are these data consistent with a 12: 3: 1 dominant epistatic model of genetic inheritance( white being dominant)?

The null hypothesis for the chi-square goodness-of-fit test is  <u>               </u>

Answer:

The null  hypothesis for the chi-square goodness-of-fit test is :

\mathbf{H_o:p_{white} = \frac{12}{16}, p_{yellow} = \frac{3}{16}; p_{green} = \frac{1}{16}           }

Step-by-step explanation:

The objective of this question is to state the null hypothesis for the  chi-square goodness-of-fit test.

Given that:

There are three colors associated with this model . i,e White , yellow and green and they are in the ratio of 12:3:1

The total number of these color traits associated with this model = 12 + 3 + 1 = 16

Thus ;

The null  hypothesis for the chi-square goodness-of-fit test is :

\mathbf{H_o:p_{white} = \frac{12}{16}, p_{yellow} = \frac{3}{16}; p_{green} = \frac{1}{16}           }

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello! My name is Galaxy and I'll be helping you today :D. I hope you are having a nice day.

Theorums

To solve the problem, since it is in the field of Geometry, there is bound to be theorums and basic knowledge that we need to know, upon seeing this problem what we need to know are:

Supplementary Angles: When two angles add up to 180 degrees.

Complementary Angles: When two angles add up to 90 degrees.

Interior/Exterior Angles Theorum.

Right Angles.

Solving

So to solve this, I'll first start with number 11. In this, we need to solve for B and we are given the first angle and b as the second angle.

What we can do is first we know that it is a Complementary angle as we know 65 degrees + b has to equal to 90 degrees.

Upon solving that, we know that B for the first one is

90=b+65\\b= 25

We know that b is 25 degrees for the first one.

For the second one, we know that due to the interior/exterior angles theorem that 80 + b has to equal to 180 degrees due to the int/ext angles theorem and supplementary angles.

180=80+b\\b=100

We know that b is 100 degrees.

For the third one, we know the entire thing is 360 degrees. Since we know that, we can solve for b as we have all the angles needed.

244+23+b=360\\b=93

Upon solving, we know that b is 93 degrees.

For the final one, due to vertical angles, b is equal to 48 degrees!

Find - 1 5/6 + (-1/3) in a number line
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

put it on -1

Step-by-step explanation:

you turn the mixed number into an improper fraction and then you turn -11/6 to have a denominator of 3 so then it comes out to -1 1/2 over 3 then you multiply the 3 times 2 and the 1 1/2 times 2 and you get -3/3 and equals out to -1

An exponential function has a starting value of 13 and a growth rate of 0.78%. Write an equation to model the situation.
Elina [12.6K]

Answer:

The equation that models the situation is A(t) = 13(1.0078)^t

Step-by-step explanation:

Exponential equation:

An exponential equation has the following format:

A(t) = A(0)(1+r)^t

In which A(0) is the starting value and r is the growth rate, as a decimal.

Starting value of 13 and a growth rate of 0.78%.

This means that A(0) = 13, r = 0.0078

Write an equation to model the situation.

A(t) = A(0)(1+r)^t

A(t) = 13(1+0.0078)^t

A(t) = 13(1.0078)^t

The equation that models the situation is A(t) = 13(1.0078)^t
