This is the term that tells us that the individual is having the issues of taking the amount of oxygen that they need in their body and also getting the body to expel the carbon dioxide that it has in it.

The person that has such an issue is said to have a high priority issue because this can be a serious issue. Hence we can say that High priority is the priority that would be given to the patient that has decreased gas exchange.
