hi

The aim of equation is to have your letter on one side of thed equal sign and the numbers on the other side. to do this, <u><em>you are allowed to use any mathematical operation you know in  any quantities you want as long as  you do it on both side in the same time.</em></u>

I will make apparent every step and quantity I add, will be in bold.

X-2 = 11

To dispose  of -2 on the left, I add  +2 on each side, as  -2 +2 = 0

X-2 +2 = 11 +2

X +0 = 11 +2

  X = 11+2

   X = 13

As I have now a single X on one side and a value on the other side of the equal sign,  the calculus is over.

True or False: The null hypothesis should be rejected at a 10% level of significance when testing whether age has any effect on
olga_2 [115]

Answer:

False

Step-by-step explanation:

The null hypothesis is rejected or accepted on the basis of level of significance. When the p-value is greater than level of significance we fail to reject the null hypothesis and null hypothesis is then accepted. It is not necessary that all null hypothesis will be rejected at 10% level of significance. To determine the criteria for accepting or rejecting a null hypothesis we should also consider p-value.

In a New York Times/CBS News Poll, respondents were asked if it should be legal or illegal to send a text message while driving.
AnnZ [28]

Answer: \dfrac2{201}

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of persons said it is legal to text while driving = 8

Number of persons said it is illegal to text while driving = 804

Total persons sampled = 804+8 = 812

Since probability =\dfrac{\text{favorable outcomes}}{\text{Total outcomes}}

The probability of randomly selecting someone who believes it should be legal to text while driving = \dfrac{8}{804}=\dfrac2{201}

Required probability = \dfrac2{201}
