By angular speed, the frequency is 2.39 Hz.

We need to know about the angular speed of harmonic oscillation. the angular speed can be determined as

ω² = k / m

where ω is angular speed, k is spring constant, and m is the mass.

The angular speed can be calculated by

ω = 2πf

Hence,

ω² = k / m

(2πf)² = k / m

k = (2πf)² / m

where f is frequency.

From the question above, we know that:

m1 = 0.6 kg

f1 = 3 Hz

m2 = 0.38 kg

The spring is same, hence the spring constant is the same

k1 = k2

(2πf1)² / m1 = (2πf2)² / m2

f1² / m1 = f2² / m2

3² / 0.6 = f2² / 0.38

f2² = 5.7

f2 = 2.39 Hz

Gold has a density of 19.3 grams per cubic centimeter. what is the density of gold in metric tons per cubic meter?
valina [46]
In order to determine this, we will first need some conversions. We will need to convert metric tons and grams into one another and also cubic centimeters to cubic meters into one another.

1 metric ton = 1000 kg

1 kg = 1000 grams

1 metric ton = 10⁶ grams

So 10⁶ grams / metric ton

1 meter = 100 cm
1 m³ = (100)³ cm³
1 m³ = 10⁶ cm³

So 10⁶ cm⁶ / m³

Now, we manipulate the given value:

(19.3 grams / cm³) * (1 metric ton / 10⁶ grams) * (10⁶ cm³ / m³)
= 19.3 metric tons / m³

The density of gold is 19.3 metric tons meter meter cubed.

A jumbo jet must reach a speed of 360 km/h on the runway for takeoff. What is the lowest constant acceleration needed for takeof
weeeeeb [17]

The lowest constant acceleration needed for takeoff from a 1.80 km runway is 2.8 m/s².

To find the answer, we need to know about the Newton's equation of motion.

What's the Newton's equation of motion to find the acceleration in term of initial velocity, final velocity and distance?

 • The Newton's equation of motion that connects velocity, distance and acceleration is V² - U²= 2aS
 • V= final velocity, U= initial velocity, S= distance and a= acceleration

What's the acceleration, if the initial velocity, final velocity and distance are 0 m/s, 360km/h and 1.8 km respectively?

 • Here, S= 1.8 km or 1800 m, V= 360km/h or 100m/s , U= 0 m/s
 • So, 100²-0= 2×a×1800

=> 10000= 3600a

=> a= 10000/3600 = 2.8 m/s²

Thus, we can conclude that the lowest constant acceleration needed for takeoff from a 1.80 km runway is 2.8 m/s².
