The factors are 17 and 3.

The given conditions are two factors of the first number, 51 such that their product is 51 and the sum is the second number 20.
let say, the factors are x and y.

therefore, we can write, x.y = 51 ... (1)  and x + y = 20 .... (2)

Putting  the value of x from equation (2) in  equation (1) we get,

(20 - y).y = 51

or, 20y - y² = 51

or, y² - 20y + 51 = 0

or, y = 17, 3

then x = 3,17

Therefore, The factors are 17 and 3.

On a given day, the coldest surface temperature on the moon, -280°F, is 53.6°F colder than twice the coldest surface temperature
vovikov84 [41]

-113.2 °F

Step-by-step explanation:

Well assign the coldest place on earth on the day as having <em>x</em> temperature

Therefore based on the statement;

2x – 53.6 = -280

2x = -280 + 53.6

2x = - 226.4

X = -113.2

A. b. c. or .d <br>please help me . ASAP
murzikaleks [220]

Answer: Choice A

The second fraction should not have been multiplied by 9

This is because 1/9 already has the LCD in the denominator. LCD stands for lowest common denominator.

The first fraction 2/3 does not have 9 in the denominator, which is why they multiplied top and bottom by 3

2/3 = (2*3)/(3*3) = 6/9

After each fraction has the same denominator (9), you can add the numerators to place over the LCD like so

6/9 + 1/9 = (6+1)/9 = 7/9

This means,

2/3 + 1/9 = 6/9+1/9 = 7/9

raghu bought 80 oranges at 3Rs per orange. he sold 30% oranges at 5Rs each and remaining oranges at the rate of 3Rs each. find h
Veronika [31]

Answer:

20% Profit percentage

Step-by-step explanation:

Since Raghu bought 80 oranges at 3Rs each, his total expense (E) is:

E= 80*3 = 240

Now for his earnings, he sold 30% of the oranges for 5Rs each and 70% for 3Rs each. Therefore, his earnings are represented by the following expression:

P = 80*0.3*5 + 80*0.7*3\\P=288

His profit percentage (%) can be found as follows:

\%= \frac{P - E}{E}*100\\\\\%= \frac{288 - 240}{240}*100\\\%= 20\%
