X-y=1 this is on my homerork assignment and i want to know how to grap it
Alecsey [184]
To more easily graph this, convert it to slope-intercept form (y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept):

x - y = 1
-y = -x + 1
y = x - 1

The slope is 1 and the y-intercept is -1. To graph this, plot the point (0, -1) and count 1 unit down and 1 unit to the right. Do this once more, connect the points, and you have your line.

Hope this helps.

Hello :
incorrect  answer because :
\sqrt{ a^{2} + b^{2} }  \neq   \sqrt{ a^{2} } + \sqrt{ b^{2}}  \neq a+b
but :
\sqrt{ (a+b)^{2} } = a+b........a+b <span>≥ 0</span>

Which sequence of transformations maps pre-image ABC to
matrenka [14]

Triangle ABC was reflected over the y-axis and  then translated 2 units up and 2 units to the right

Transformation is the movement of a point from its initial location to a new location. Types of transformation are rotation, reflection, translation and dilation.

Translation is the movement of a point up, down, left or right. If a point A(x, y) is translated b units up and a units to the right, the new point is A'(x + a, y + b).

Reflection is the flipping of a figure. If a point A(x, y) is reflected along the y axis the new point is A'(-x, y).

Triangle ABC is at A(1, 2), B(4, 6) and C(7, 3). If it is reflected over the y-axis, the new point is A*(-1, 2), B*(-4, 6) and C*(-7, 3). If it is then translated 2 units up and 2 units to the right, the new image is:

A'(1, 4), B'(-2, 8) and C'(-5, 5)

Hence, Triangle ABC was reflected over the y-axis and  then translated 2 units up and 2 units to the right

So the function is
f(x)=3( \frac{1}{3})^{ x }
the intial value is where x=0
where x=0, the value of f(0)=3

grouth is 1/3 but it is decay, so it might be correct, or not because it is decay
it is exponential decay
true it is a stretch of the funciton f(x)=(1/3)^x
when x=3, then f(3)=1/9

the true things are

The function shows exponential decay.
The function is a stretch of the function f(x) = (1/3)x .
