Answer:

Slope = (-1/3)

Step-by-step explanation:

Point 1: (-6, 6); Point 2: (6, 2)

            (x₁, y₁)                (x₂, y₂)

        y₂ - y₁         2 - 6          -4            -4 ÷ 4         -1

m = ------------ = ----------- = ---------- = -------------- = -------

        x₂ - x₁        6 - (-6)      6 + 6        12 ÷ 4           3

y - y₁ = m(x - x₁)

y - 6 = (-1/3)(x + 6)

y - 6 = (-1/3)x - 2

   +6              +6

-------------------------

y = (-1/3)x + 4

I hope this helps!

The total surface area of a cube is 600
schepotkina [342]

Answer:

10

Step-by-step explanation:

Surface area is the sum of the areas of all faces (or surfaces) on a 3D shape. A cuboid has 6 rectangular faces. To find the surface area of a cuboid, add the areas of all 6 faces.

600 / 6 = 100

10 x 10 = 100

Can some one help me with this I got the answer but not sure I've the steps?
frez [133]
I belive what you did wrong is that you didint show your work so what you have to do is explain how to do the problem with equations or explain in word form if i were you i would show my work in equations if you need help on how to set it up contact me.

A relative maximum of the function y = ln(x)/x is:
dezoksy [38]
Take the deritivive
remember
the deritivive of f(x)/g(x)=(f'(x)g(x)-g'(x)f(x))/(g(x)^2)
so
deritiveive is ln(x)/x is
remember that derivitive of lnx is 1/x
so

(1/x*x-1lnx)/(x^2)=(1-ln(x))/(x^2)
the max occurs where the value is 0
(1-ln(x))/(x^2)=0
times x^2 both sides
1-lnx=0
add lnx both sides
1=lnx
e^1=x
e=x
see if dats a max or min
at e/2, the slope is positive
at 3e/2, the slope is negative
changes from positive to negative at x=e

that means it's a max

max at x=e
I realize I didn't find the max point, so

sub back
ln(x)/x
ln(e)/e
1/e
the value of the max would be 1/e occuring where x=e

4th option is answer (1/e) because that is the value of the maximum (which happens at x=e)

Is the equation linear and if it is linear is it proportional?<br> y=x +31
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

yes, its linear and proportional .

Step-by-step explanation:

In mathematics, two varying quantities are said to be in a relation of proportionality, if they are multiplicatively connected to a constant, that is, when either their ratio or their product yields a constant. The value of this constant is called the coefficient of proportionality or proportionality constant.

you just have to graph it .

hope i helped :) !!! brainliest ??

Lim x-0 (sin2xcsc3xsec2x)/x²cot²4x
sergij07 [2.7K]

By the definitions of cosecant, secant, and cotangent, we have

\dfrac{\sin2x\csc3x\sec2x}{x^2\cot^24x}=\dfrac{\sin2x\sin^24x}{x^2\sin3x\cos2x\cos^24x}

Then we rewrite the fraction as

\dfrac{\sin2x}{2x}\left(\dfrac{\sin4x}{4x}\right)^2\dfrac{3x}{\sin3x}\dfrac{32}{3\cos2x\cos^24x}

The reason for this is that we want to apply the well-known limit,

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to0}\frac{\sin ax}{ax}=\lim_{x\to0}\frac{ax}{\sin ax}=1

for a\neq0. So when we take the limit, we have

\displaystyle\lim_{x\to0}\cdots=\lim_{x\to0}\frac{\sin2x}{2x}\left(\lim_{x\to0}\frac{\sin4x}{4x}\right)^2\lim_{x\to0}\frac{3x}{\sin3x}\lim_{x\to0}\frac{32}3\cos2x\cos^24x}

=1\cdot1^2\cdot1\cdot\dfrac{32}3=\dfrac{32}3
