The least number of point the team could have scored is the LCM of the factors given = 60.

Factor 1 = 3

Factor 2 = 4

Factor 3 = 5

therefore, LCM

= 4 * 5 * 3   [because they don't have any factors in common]

= 60

The positive integers that can divide a number evenly are referred to as factors. Let's say we multiply two numbers to produce a result. The product's factors are the number that is multiplied.

Each number has a self-referential element. There are several examples of factors in everyday life, such putting candies in a box, arranging numbers in a certain pattern, giving chocolates to kids, etc. We must apply the multiplication or division method in order to determine a number's factors.

Charles can do a job in 1 hour, bill can do the same job in 2 hours, and bob can do the job in 3 hours. How long does it take th
KiRa [710]
Charles can do the whole job in an hour, Bill can do 1/2 of the job in an hour, and Bob does 1/3 of the job in an hour.  Therefore, they do a total of 1+1/2+1/3=11/6 of the job in an hour, meaning it takes them 6/11 of an hour.  This is 6/11*60=360/11 minutes, or approximately 33 minutes.

Vlad [161]

Answer:

\large\boxed{\large\boxed{85cups}}

Explanation:

<u>1. Volume of a cup</u>

The shape of the cup is a cylinder. The volume of a cylinder is:

       \text{Volume of a cylinder}=\pi \times (radius)^2\times height

The diameter fo the cup is half the diameter: 2in/2 = 1in.

Substitute radius = 1 in, and height = 4 in in the formula for the volume of a cylinder:

         \text{Volume of the cup}=\pi \times (1in)^2\times 4in\approx 12.57in^3

<u>2. Volume of the sink:</u>

The volume of the sink is 1072in³ (note the units is in³ and not in).

<u>3. Divide the volume of the sink by the volume of the cup.</u>

This gives the number of cups that contain a volume equal to the volume of the sink:

          \dfrac{1072in^3}{12.57in^3}=85.3cups\approx 85cups
