The least number of point the team could have scored is the LCM of the factors given = 60.

Factor 1 = 3

Factor 2 = 4

Factor 3 = 5

therefore, LCM

= 4 * 5 * 3   [because they don't have any factors in common]

= 60

The positive integers that can divide a number evenly are referred to as factors. Let's say we multiply two numbers to produce a result. The product's factors are the number that is multiplied.

Each number has a self-referential element. There are several examples of factors in everyday life, such putting candies in a box, arranging numbers in a certain pattern, giving chocolates to kids, etc. We must apply the multiplication or division method in order to determine a number's factors.

After diving 86 feet below the surface, a diver ascends at 4 feet per minute. After 12 minutes pass, where is the diver located
Gemiola [76]
One possible way:
-86+(4*12)=-38
-86 is the number where the diver is. 86 feet below the surface.
4*12 is the total number of feet he has ascended in 12 minutes.
Because he is ascending, so you add 4*12 (or 48) to -86.
The answer is -38, meaning he's 38 feet below the surface.

The diver is now 38 feet below the surface.

Hope this helps.

Suppose Ken has 25 coins and nickels and dimes only and has a total of a $1.65 how many of each coin does he have?
nikklg [1K]
x-\ number\ of\ nickels\\
y-\ number\ of\ dimes\\\\
x+y=25 \ \ \ | x=25-y\\
0.05x+0.1y=1.65\\\\
0.05(25-y)+0.1y=1.65\\\\
1.25-0.05y+0.1y=1.65\\\\
1.25+0.05y=1.65\ \ \ | subtract\ 1.25\\\\
0.05y=0.4\ \ \ \ \ | divide\ by\ 0.05\\\\
y=8\\\\
x=25-8=17\\\\
There\ are\ 17 \ nickels\ and\ 8\ dimes.

4x2 + 4x - 1, evaluate and fully simplify each of the - For the function f(0) following f(s + h) f(x + h) - f(5) h 10
Andrew [12]

Given the function f(x);

f(x)=-4x^2+4x-1

Evaluating the function f(x+h);

\begin{gathered} f(x+h)=-4(x+h)^2+4(x+h)-1 \\ f(x+h)=-4(x^2+2xh+h^2)^{}+4(x+h)-1 \\ f(x+h)=-4x^2-4h^2-8xh^{}+4x+4h-1 \end{gathered}

So;

f(x+h)=-4x^2-4h^2-8xh^{}+4x+4h-1

Evaluating the second function;

\begin{gathered} \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}=\frac{-4x^2-4h^2-8xh^{}+4x+4h-1-(-4x^2+4x-1)}{h} \\ \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}=\frac{-4x^2-4h^2-8xh^{}+4x+4h-1+4x^2-4x+1}{h} \\ \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}=\frac{-4x^2+4x^2-4h^2-8xh^{}+4x-4x+4h-1+1}{h} \\ \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}=\frac{-4h^2-8xh^{}+4h}{h} \end{gathered}

simplifying further;

\begin{gathered} \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}=\frac{-4h^2-8xh^{}+4h}{h}=-4h-8x+4 \\ \frac{f(x+h)-f(x)}{h}=-4h-8x+4 \end{gathered}

Therefore, we have;

undefined
