The parasympathetic exhaling nervous system is stimulated by blowing air out (PNS). The PNS controls the relaxation response, which helps us unwind, digest food, express ourselves, heal, and recover from traumas and trauma.

The exhaling nerve, which runs from the neck via the diaphragm to the brain, delivers a signal to your body to increase your parasympathetic nervous system and decrease relaxation sympathetic nervous system when your exhale is even a few counts longer than your inhale. Carbon dioxide lingers in the body and builds up in your cells, resulting in weariness, making you yawn, reducing mental clarity, and raising stress levels.
