4 3/5 in an improper fraction is 23/5. First to multiply 4×5 which equals 20 then add 20+3 to give u 23 and the denominator is 5 so it will be 23/5. Hope this helps! :)

Mallory works 20 hours a week as a website designer and earns $42.50 per hour. If Mallory saves
AleksandrR [38]
If Mallory makes $42.50 per hour and she works 20 hours a week, we multiple those two and we get:

42.5 * 20 = 850

So she earns $850 per week.

Mallory saves half of that amount she would have $425 per week.

In 4 weeks she would have:

425 * 4 = 1700

Mallory will save $1,700 in four weeks.

How do you solve -1/12 - (-11/12)
valentinak56 [21]

-1/12 - (-11/12) would change into -1/12 + 11/12 because a double negative (bold print) would become a positive. The answer to the new problem would be 10/12 or 5/6 (depending on if it says to simplify).

Simplify the expression. (Do not evaluate the exponents on coefficients in the answer.)
ycow [4]

Answer:

(-6)^5p^5

Step-by-step explanation:

To evaluate or simplify expressions with exponents, we use exponent rules.

1. An exponent is only a short cut for multiplication. It simplifies how we write the expression.

2. When we multiply terms with the same bases, we add exponents.

3. When we divide terms with the same bases, we subtract exponents.

4. When we have a base to the exponent of 0, it is 1.

5. A negative exponent creates a fraction.

6. When we raise an exponent to an exponent, we multiply exponents.

7. When we have exponents with parenthesis, we apply it to everything in the parenthesis.

We will use these rules 2 and 7 to simplify.  First apply the 4 exponent to both -6 and p. Then add the exponent of the base -6 and p on the outside of the parenthesis.

(-6p)^4(-6p)\\(-6)^4p^4*-6*p\\(-6)^5p^5
