The cell potential of an electrochemical cell with the cell reaction  is 1. 607 v.  the maximum electrical work obtainable from this cell when 0. 50 g of al is consumed is - 9.3 × 10⁵ J.

The reaction is given as :

2Al  +  3Zn²⁺  ---->   3Zn   +   2Al³⁺

the maximum electrical work obtainable from this cell:

ΔG = - n FE°cell

where,

maximum electrical work = ΔG

n = no. of transfer electron = 2 × 3 = 6 e⁻

E°cell = 1.607 V

ΔG = - n FE°cell

ΔG = - 6 × 9.65 × 10⁴ ×  1.607

ΔG = - 9.3 × 10⁵ J

Thus the maximum electrical work obtain from this cell is - 9.3 × 10⁵ J.

evablogger [386]

Answer:

Explanation:

The MSDS is Material Safety Data Sheet of HCl. Among the major hazards of hydrochloric acid is corrosive and irritant to skin and eye contact. Permanent damage may be in case.

What are the precautions to be taken while handling chemicals?

General rules for handling chemicals

Do not return chemicals to their original packaging. ...

Keep chemical containers closed. ...

Never use a wrong or an unmarked reagent. ...

Never put spatulas, stirrers or other objects into a storage container for chemicals.

What are the major hazards and what precautions would you take when handling HCl?

.Handling. Wear a chemical-resistant apron, chemical-resistant gloves and chemical splash goggles at all times when handling HCl to protect your eyes and skin. Concentrated hydrochloric acid is toxic if inhaled, so avoid breathing it in and always handle it while under a fume hood.

The decomposition reaction of A to B is a first-order reaction with a half-life of 2.42×103 seconds: A → 2B If the initial conce
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

t=23.5min

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, since the rate equation turns out as shown below due to the first-order kinetics:

\frac{dC_A}{dt}=-kC_A

Its integration results:

\int\limits^{C_A}_{C_A^0} { \frac{dC_A}{C_A}} \,=-k\int\limits^t_0 {} \, dt\\ln(\frac{C_A}{C_A^0})=-kt

However, the rate constant is computed by considering the given half-life time as follows:

k=\frac{ln(2)}{t_{1/2}}=\frac{ln(2)}{2.42x10^3s}=2.86x10^{-4}s^{-1}

In such a way, the required time in minutes to diminish the concentration by 66.8% of the initial turns out:

C_A=0.668C_A^0

ln(\frac{0.668C_A^0}{C_A^0})=-kt

t=\frac{-ln(0.668)}{2.86x10^{-4}s^1}=1408.3s*\frac{1min}{60s} \\t=23.5min

Best regards.

Compared with surface currents, deep currents are a. colder and less dense. c. warmer and denser. b. warmer and less dense. d. c
Katyanochek1 [597]

The correct answer is option d, that is, colder and denser.

The surface currents refer to the currents at the surface of the water, to a few hundred meters deep, while deep currents refer to the currents when the density increases to a greater extent.

The surface current takes place close to the surface and move horizontally. This kind of currents are caused by global winds, an example of surface current is Gulf Stream. On the other hand, deep current takes place in the ocean and is affected by the density of water, temperature, and salinity. An example is Antarctica Bottom Water. In comparison to surface currents, deep currents are colder and denser.
