Drag a reason to each box to complete this proof.
Bond [772]

Given: 5x – 4 + 13x = 5

Combine like terms in the given expression.

⇒ (5x + 13x) – 4 = 5

⇒ 18x – 4 = 5

By addition property of equality, add 4 on both sides to equal to the expression.

⇒ 18x – 4  + 4 = 5 + 4

⇒ 18x = 9

By division property of equality, divide 18 on both sides to equal the expression.

⇒ \frac{18x}{18}=\frac{9}{18}

By symmetric property of equality,  both sides are equal

⇒ x=\frac{1}{2}

Hence, x=\frac{1}{2}.
