The plant has "served" their purpose, they have fully grown fruit and they don't need a plant to help them grow anymore. Like when a apple falls out of a tree, they're done being developed.

A C - only male expressed the disorder and only females carried the disease. This is typical of a special type of diseases where only females are and can be carriers and only men can and are affected. There aren't many diseases like this but they do exist.
There is currently no treatment for inherited colour blindness. Colour filters or contact lenses can be used in some situations to enhance the brightness between some colours and these are occasionally used in the workplace, but many colour blind people find these actually confuse them further rather than help.
