If it prints 1585 pages in 5 minutes then in a minute, the machine prints

= 1585/5

= 317 pages

In 8 minutes, the machine will print

= 317 * 8

= 2536 pages

Answer:

y = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

WY is the perpendicular bisector of XZ and so divides ΔWXZ into 2 congruent triangles ΔWXY and ΔWZY

Hence WZ = WX ← corresponding sides, thus

5y - 8 = 2y + 7 ( subtract 2y from both sides )

3y - 8 = 7 ( add 8 to both sides )

3y = 15 ( divide both sides by 3 )

y = 5

ANEK [815]

Answer:

I'm gonna estimate about 240 miles one way

Explanation:

You have a guide on the bottom right-hand corner of the map that tells you how many miles per that amount of distance. As you can see it is split off into tiles incremented by 30. What you do is take a ruler and measure that guide. For example, let's say the map is 9.5cm and the guide is 2cm per 60 miles. The next thing I would do is to measure the distance in centimeters of the physical map between point a and point b which is 8cm. Finally, I convert the centimeters into miles which is (8/2)*60 = 240.

Dafna11 [192]

The colume of a rectangular box (rectangular prism) is given by the next formula:

V=l\cdot w\cdot h

As you need to fidn the width, solve w in that formula:

w=\frac{V}{l\cdot h}

Use the given measures and calculate the width:

\begin{gathered} w=\frac{4080cm^3}{15\operatorname{cm}\cdot17\operatorname{cm}} \\  \\ =\frac{4080cm^3}{255cm^2} \\  \\ =16\operatorname{cm} \end{gathered}Then, the width of the rectangular box is 16 centimeters
