A quantitative variable is the one that has a numerical significance such as number of items, time spent on playing a video game while a qualitative variable is the one who has not a numerical significance attached to it such as Gender, Eye color

Further in a quantitative variable, a discrete variable is the one which is a whole number and can not be broken down further, like number of items

while a continuous variable is the one that takes any value within an interval of values like between 1 and 2 , a continuous variable can take any value like 1.21, 1.55556, 1.994 etc.

The distance traveled by a teacher from their house to their school can take any value like 25.4, 10.5, 26.9, etc.

Thus, the variable is quantitative and continuous.

What binomial do you have to add to the polynomial x^2+y^2–2xy+1 to get a polynomial: not containing the variable x
Naya [18.7K]

Answer:

Add -x^2+2xy

Step-by-step explanation:

The polynomial x^2+y^2-2xy+1 can be added to eliminate the x terms by adding the additive inverse. We add -x^2+2xy which has the inverse sign value of the polynomial terms.

(x^2+y^2-2xy+1)+(-x^2+2xy)

x^2-x^2+y^2-2xy+2xy+1

When we simplify, this leaves y^2+1 without an x term.

Which is most likely the correlation coefficient for the set of data shown?
Mariulka [41]
The correct answer is:

0.872.

Explanation:

The correlation coefficient of a regression line is a measure of how closely the line fits our data. Negative correlation coefficients represent decreasing lines; positive correlation coefficients represent increasing lines.

The closer a correlation coefficient is to +1 or -1, the better the fit; a perfect positive fit is r=1 and a perfect negative fit is r=-1.

We can see in the graph that the line is very close to our data, so it is a pretty good fit.

The line is increasing; this means we want a correlation coefficient that is close to 1.

The best choice is 0.872.

What’s the range of the function fix)=4x+9, given the domain D={-4,-2,0,2}?
rusak2 [61]

Answer:

The range is all real numbers.

Step-by-step explanation:

I graphed the equation on the graph below to find the range. The range is all real numbers because the line never stops and it touches all possible y-values.

Using isosceles triangle theorems solve for x and y
klio [65]
Well lets start by getting y. We already know that all angles of a triangle will equal 180 degrees.
Therefore we know that 65 + 65 + y = 180. To solve for y we just add the two 65's then subtract that from 180
y = 180-130 = 50 Therefore y = 50

Now lets solve for x. We know that since angle B is flat it is equal to 180. The unknown value of angle B = 180 - 65
Therefore that unknown value = 115

As we previously stated all angles of a triangle equal 180. We can now come up with this equation: 115 + x + x = 180
2x = 65
x = 32.5
