The working principle of a simple current transformer is slightly different from that of a normal voltage transformer. To calculate voltage in the secondary coil:

N₁/N₂ = V₁/V₂

where;

N₁ is number of turns in primary coil

N₂ is number of turns in secondary coil

V₁ is voltage in primary coil

V₂ is voltage in secondary coil

Now for the given case,

150/2000 = 120/V₂

V₂ = (120 x 2000)/150

V₂ = 1,600 V
