For number 2, you set up a proportion, which in this case, is 17/1 = w/6.

To get w by itself you need to get rid of the 6 in the denominator by canceling it out buy multiplying by the reciprocal.

Your new equation should be 6/1 = 17/1 or 17.

You then multiply 6 and 17 to get a total of 102
