Institutions are the organizations where government power is exercised and where political struggle takes place.

Institutions serve as the arenas for political struggle and the exercise of governmental power. Both state and non-state actors create and uphold institutions.

An institution in political science is a collection of formal laws like constitutions, unspoken rules, or shared beliefs that set limits and specify how political actors should communicate with one another and exercise governmental power.

Politicians stick to institutions because they want to avoid penalties as much as possible and reap the rewards whenever possible.

Institutions have been shown to impact political processes and results substantially. Establishing the number of people required to change the status quo is how institutions determine the stability and change in a political system.

Why did the US at the Soviet Union engaged in the proxy war
Colt1911 [192]

Answer:   Danielootello1Brainly Expert

The United States did not directly engage in battle.

In order to answer this you need previously to know that by a proxy war:

by definition:

is an armed conflict between two states which act on instigating third parties,  usually setting terrain where hostilities take place.  there must be a direct, long-term relationship between external actors and the belligerent groups involved.

Clearly there was no direct fighting between Soviet and American troops, still, the mujahedeen were economically assisted and tactically aided by Us officers whereas, to the counterpart, the communist local government that was supporting assistance from the Soviet side also was given financial and military assistance. In this ideological confrontations, the external powers do not engage in open and direct warfare, rather, the intermediate or states in between are the terrain for the war to be carried.

Which study was paramount in classical conditioning?
masha68 [24]

Answer: Ivan Pavlov's Salivating Dog experiment.

Explanation:

Classical Conditioning: involves creating a new association between a stimulus and a response.

Examples: sound of a dentists drill-feel anxious, palms sweat. smell of food-feel nauseous

noise of a can opener-cat comes running

Discovered accidentally by Ivan Pavlov

Natural salivation reflex to food in dogs

after conditioning salivation to other stimuli.

Ex: bells, whistles, tones.

Phase 1: Before Conditioning

The first part of the classical conditioning process requires a naturally occurring stimulus that will automatically elicit a response. Salivating in response to the smell of food is a good example of a naturally occurring stimulus.Phase 2: During Conditioning

During the second phase of the classical conditioning process, the previously neutral stimulus is repeatedly paired with the unconditioned stimulus. As a result of this pairing, an association between the previously neutral stimulus and the UCS is formed. At this point, the once neutral stimulus becomes known as the conditioned stimulus (CS).

Phase 3: After Conditioning

Once the association has been made between the UCS and the CS, presenting the conditioned stimulus alone will come to evoke a response even without the unconditioned stimulus
