Three roads lead into a stadium's parking areas. Each road has four lanes (two in each direction) with a capacity oftwo parking
andrew-mc [135]

Answer:

Number of attendants required are 16.

10000 vehicles will take 8 hours 20 min. to enter the parking area.

Step-by-step explanation:

Attendants required to park cars for each type a lot = 2

Attendants required to park cars for 6 type a lots = 2×6 = 12

Attendants required to park cars for each type b lot = 1

Attendants required to park cars for 4 type b lot = 4×1 = 4

So, total attendants required are  12+4 = 16.

total number of roads = 3

number of lanes for 1 road = 4

number of lanes for 3 roads = 3×4 = 12

number of vehicles one lane can park = 100 /hour

number of vehicles 12 lanes can park = 12×100 = 1200/hour

So, 1200 vehicles takes parking area for 60 min.

10000 vehicles takes parking area for  \frac{10000\times 60}{1200} min.

                                                               = 500 minutes.

60 min. = 1 hour

500 min. = \frac{500}{60} hours = 8 hours 20 min.

So, 10000 vehicles will take 8 hours 20 min. to enter the parking area.

Given the rectangular solid, RS = 6, ST = 3, and SL = 4. Solve for KT.
katrin [286]

First thing is that you need to find the diagonal of the rectangle

but remember is it a horizontal rectangle.

So let's start it :)

d= √6²+3²

d= √36+9

d= √54

d= 6.7082

But wait.. we are not done yet

We need to solve KT

we have 6.7082 which is the base and we have SL=4 which is the height

so with this 2 information we can find KT

KT is the hypotenuse because when you draw the line from K to T you'll see that it is the longest line.

Use the hypotenuse formula which is

C = √a²+b²

Now replace C by KT since we are solving for KT instead of C. Got it ?:)

KT= √6.7080²+4²

KT= 7.81

I do it with decimals so it might be little bit confusing to you but I think you can solve that different ways :)

Well I hope that's help and if not I am so sorry.
