The total displacement of the motorcyclist is 179.58 km and its the average velocity is 63.38km/h.

Motorcyclist drive to north for 35 minutes at 85km/h. After that, he drives 130km in 2 hours towards the north.

We know,

Velocity = displacement/time

So,

We can write,

Displacement = velocity × time

Displacement = 85 × 35/60

Displacement = 49.58 km

After stopping for 15 minutes.

He moves again till a distance of 130 km. As the direction is not changing,

So the total displacement is,

Total Displacement = 179.58 km.

We know,

Average velocity = total displacement/total time

Total time = time for which he moved and time for which he stopped.

Total time = (0.58 + 0.25 + 2)hours

Total time = 2.88 hours.

Now, putting values,

Average velocity = 179.58/2.88

Average velocity = 63.38km/h

So, the average velocity of the motorcyclist is 63.38km/h.

A circuit has resistors R 1 = 468 Ω and R 2 = 125 Ω R1=468 Ω and R2=125 Ω , and two batteries V 1 = 12.0 V and V 2 = 3.00 V V1=1
Greeley [361]

Answer:

0.0192A

Explanation:

Since, the reading of the galvanometer is 0 A, the voltage across the resistance R will be:

Step 1

VR = V2

VR = 3.00v

Step 2

Calculating the current through the resistance R as below,

IR = V1 - V2 /R1

IR = 12 - 3 /468

IR =0.0192A

A series of pulses of amplitude 0.25 m are sent down a string that is attached to a post at one end. The pulses are reflected at
Klio2033 [76]

Answer:

0m

Explanation:

since the string is rigidly attached to the post, the reflected and incident pulses are of the same amplitude but different polarities. At the point where the two pulses meet, the amplitude will be the addition of that of the incident and the reflected pulses. i.e Amplitude= 0.25 + -0.25=0m
