The total distance Steve jogged is 5 miles.

<h3>what is percent?</h3>

The Latin word "per centum," which meaning "by the hundred," was the source of the English word "percentage." Fractions with a denominator of 100 are called percentages. In other words, it is a relationship where the value of the entire is always assumed to be 100.

A percentage is a ratio or fraction where the full value is always 100. Sam, for instance, would have received 30 out of a possible 100 points if he had received 30% on his arithmetic test. In ratio form, it is expressed as 30:100 and in fraction form as 30/100.

Given:

Steve completed 60% of the Jog.

Also, he travelled 3 miles.

Let the total distance he travelled be x miles.

Then,

60% of x =3

60/100 x= 3

x= 3 x 100 / 60

x= 300/60

x= 5 miles.

Hence, total he had to jog 5 miles.

An amount of $15,000 is invested in a fund that has a return of
IrinaVladis [17]

Answer:

$12000 should be invested in a fund with a 4% return.

Step-by-step explanation:

Consider the provided information.

An amount of $15,000 is invested in a fund that has a return of  6%.

We need to calculate how much money is invested in a fund with a 4% return if the  total return on both investments is $1380.

Let $x should be invested in a fund with a 4% return.

The above information can be written as:

1380=15000\times 6\%+x\times 4\%

1380=15000\times \frac{6}{100}+x\times \frac{4}{100}

1380=150\times6+x\times 0.04

1380-900=0.04x\\480=0.04x\\x=12000

Hence, $12000 should be invested in a fund with a 4% return.

Help I don't understand this question that well
Romashka-Z-Leto [24]
1st) You would find the volume of the larger solid. V = Base Area • Height = (10•15) • 10 = 1500
2nd find the volume of the smaller figure. (2•4) • 4 = 32
Subtract the first from second 1500 - 32 = 1468.
Then you have to find the area of the fsces left after you took out figure two and add them to the total. 4•2 = 8. 4•2 = 8. 4•4 = 16
1462 + 16 + 8 + 8 = 1494 inches cubed
