What is stress?

  • Any kind of change that puts physical, mental, or psychological strain on a person is considered to be stressful.
  • Your body's reaction to anything that demands focus or action is stress.
  • Everyone goes through periods of stress.
  • However, how you handle stress has a significant impact on your general wellbeing.

Warnings Adults who are stressed may experience

  • crying fits or fits of rage.
  • eating difficulties.
  • losing interest in routine tasks.
  • Growing signs of physical difficulty, such as headaches or stomachaches.
  • Fatigue.
  • guilt, helplessness, or hopelessness.
  • avoiding friends and family.

Distress is a term used to describe stress that is considered negative. Relationship issues, unemployment, and injuries are a few examples of typical negative stressors. You may experience a sense of helplessness when something distresses you.

Hence stress to one person may not cause stress to another person.
