Town P and Town Q are 80 km apart. A train travels from P to Q at an average speed of 120 km/h, waits, and travels from Q back t

o P at an average speed of 110 km/h. If the average speed of the train for the whole journey is 105 km/h, how long did it wait at Q? Give your answer in minutes and seconds.

Answer:

7 minutes 48 seconds.

Step-by-step explanation:

Average speed for the whole journey is

distance / time, so

105 = (2*80)/ (t + t2)

where t is the time when it is moving and t2 is the time it stays at town Q.

Time for journey P to Q

= distance / speed

= 80 /120

= 2/3 hours,

Time for journey Q to P

= 80/110

= 8/11 hours

So t = 2/3 + 8/11

= 46/33 hours.

- and substituting in the equation for the whole journey:

160 / (46/33 + t2) = 105

105*46/33 + 105*t2 = 160

105 t2 = 160 - (105*46)/33

           = 160 - 146.364

           = 13.636

t2 = 13.636/105 = 0.1299 hours.

= 7 minutes 48 seconds.

Answer:

See figure attached and explanation below.

Step-by-step explanation:

For this case we have the following dataset given:

0.74, 0.32, 1.66, 3.59, 4.55, 6.47, 9.99, 0.7, 0.37, 0.76, 1.9, 1.77, 2.42, 1.09, 2.03, 2.69,2.41, 0.54, 8.32, 5.70, 0.75, 1.96, 3.36, 4.06, 12.48

And for this case we can use the followinf R code to create the frequency histogram.

> x<-c(0.74, 0.32, 1.66, 3.59, 4.55, 6.47, 9.99,0.7, 0.37, 0.76, 1.9, 1.77, 2.42, 1.09, 2.03, 2.69,2.41, 0.54, 8.32, 5.70, 0.75, 1.96, 3.36, 4.06,12.48)

> length(x)

[1] 25

> hist(x, prob=TRUE)

And for this case we have the histogram on the figure attached. For the number of classes we use the formula of sturges:

k = 1 +3.322 log (n)= 1+3.3 log(25)= 5.61

And for this case we have approximately 6 classes. And that's what we can see on the figure attached

As we can see most of the values are on the left so then we have a right skewed to the right and the distribution is assymetrical, with most of the values between 0 and 6

If 8x+6=4x+38
8x-4x=38-6
4x=32
x=32/4=8

Angle of A is equal to angle of B (mirrored)

Then angle of B is 4x+38 = 4*8+38 = 32+38=70

Determine the value of the variable. 5 + 17 = J - 14
Nataly_w [17]
You would add 5 and 17 and that would equal 22
Now it would be 22=J-14
Then add 14 on both sides so it cancels out 22 plus 14 is 36
So J would equal 36
