The slope of line is:

Where,

Choose any point:

$\begin{gathered} (x_1,y_1)=(-1,-4) \\ \\ (x_2,y_2)=(0,-1) \end{gathered}$

So, the slope of the line is:

$\begin{gathered} m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1} \\ \\ m=\frac{-1-(-4)}{0-(-1)} \\ \\ m=\frac{-1+4}{0+1} \\ \\ m=\frac{3}{1} \\ \\ m=3 \end{gathered}$
