The lower and upper estimates for the distance (in it) that shetraveled during these three seconds are 35.1 and 45.1

<h3>What is Speed?</h3>

Speed is the time rate at which an object is moving along a path, while velocity is the rate and direction of an object's movement

Since the speed of the runner constantly increases during the three second interval, the lower estimate of the total distance traveled is calculated using the speeds at the beginning of each half second interval. Similarly, the upper estimate of the total distance traveled is calculated using the speeds at the end of each half second interval.

The lower estimate of the total distance traveled is equivalent to:

=0.5(0+6.7+11.2+14.1+18.8+19.4)

=0.5(70.2)

=35.1

The Upper estimate of the total distance traveled is equivalent to:

=0.5(0+6.7+11.2+14.1+18.8+19.4+20)

=0.5(90.2)

=45.1

Hence the lower and upper estimates for the distance (in it) that shetraveled during these three seconds are 35.1 and 45.1

What is the perimeter of a square which has the same area as a circle with circumference of 4π?
Contact [7]
The circumference of a circle is given by: 2πr, where r is the radius of the circle. Equating 4π, we have 2πr = 4π so the radius of the circle is: r = 4/2 = 2. Then, the area of the circle is given by πr ^ 2 = π * (2 ^ 2) = 4π.Since the square and the circle have the same area, then: Let L be the side of the square, we have:  L ^ 2 = 4π, clearing L = 2 * (π ^ (1/2))The perimeter of a square is the sum of its sides:  P = L + L + L + L = 2 * (π ^ (1/2)) + 2 * (π ^ (1/2)) + 2 * (π ^ (1/2)) + 2 * (π) ^ (1/2))  P = 8 * (π ^ (1/2))

If secθ = 13\5 and 270° &lt; θ &lt; 360°, then tanθ = _____. -12\5 -5\12 5\12 12\5
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Answer:

tanΘ = - \frac{12}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

Using the trigonometric identity

tan²Θ + 1 = sec²Θ, thus

tan²Θ + 1 = (\frac{13}{5} )² = \frac{169}{25} ( subtract 1 from both sides )

tan²Θ = \frac{144}{25} ( take the square root of both sides )

tanΘ = ± \sqrt{\frac{144}{25} }

Since 270 < Θ < 360 , that is the fourth quadrant where tan Θ < 0, thus

tanΘ = - \frac{12}{5}
