Structures for growing food in or near cities is the answer. It is essential for a city to have food and water as these are the basic needs of survival of human being .

Food is the most important thing for the capital city's rapidly growing population's survival. Food is an individual's most basic need. Other amenities required by the population, such as recreation areas, improved communication and transportation systems, are all secondary to food. A lack of food will result in starvation and, eventually death. All other things such as communication system, transportation system could be achieved in a better way once the entire growing population is able to avail basic needs i.e. proper food and nutrition as they provide immunity against diseases and will keep the population healthy both mentally and physically to work and achieve other amenities.

So, the correct answer is (b)- Structures for growing food in or near cities.

The complete question is :

A country that has been relatively poor is starting to become wealthier. This has brought many people into the capital city, causing the population to grow very rapidly. Many new apartment buildings, as well as water and waste management systems, are being constructed to meet their living needs.

Which other technology would be a priority for the survival of such an expanding population?

densk [106]

Let's suppose that the demand for allergists increases in California. assuming there is a perfectly competitive market for allergists in California :

Allergists from other states (or countries) could move to California.

Surgeons, hematologists, and other doctors in California could become allergists after some retraining.

More people could enter medical school, specialize in allergies, and move to California.

A competitive market is an economic term that refers to a market in which there are a large number of buyers and sellers and no single buyer or seller can influence the market. A competitive market has no barriers to entry, many buyers and sellers, and homogeneous products.

In economics, especially general equilibrium theory, perfect markets, also called atomistic markets, are defined by several idealized conditions collectively known as perfect or atomistic competition.
